Siemens AG supports the department of Electrical Engineering with a generous donation and enables students to familiarize themselves with the latest technology in the field of Automation Technology and Industrial Internet of Things. The Automation Technology Lab will be equipped by Siemens AG with 11 lab stations with state-of-the-art programmable logic controllers based on SIMATIC S7-1500 and Siemens Simatic touch panels TP700. The SIMIT Simulation Platform included in the package offers the creation, modification, testing and upgrading of virtual plant models and a digital twin. With the laboratory experiments, studies and theses carried out, students gain up-to-date knowledge in control engineering, closed-loop control, motion and robotics and thus have the best prerequisites for the practical semester and later professional life.
