A bridge of innovation: New cooperation between the University of Luxembourg and Hochschule Mannheim

A new chapter in international cooperation in science has begun: The University of Luxembourg and Hochschule Mannheim have joined forces in a pioneering cooperation. This partnership aims to push the boundaries of education and research and offers unique opportunities to students from both institutions.

The heart of this collaboration is a research cooperation in the field of data management and artificial intelligence. Hochschule Mannheim - University of Applied Sciences and the Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust (SnT) at the University of Luxembourg are pooling their expertise in these pioneering fields. The aim is to conduct fundamental academic research as well as to promote the exchange of researchers.

The cooperation places particular emphasis on the following topics:

- The management of transactional data from economic sectors such as finance, automotive and industry

- Current data security approaches and the analysis of financial data with a focus on identity and compliance, decentralized processes and fraud detection

- Automated system integration with the help of artificial intelligence

An initial research project has been initiated by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Kay Böhnke of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at Hochschule Mannheim and Prof. Dr. Radu State of the University of Luxembourg's “Security and Trust in Service and Data Management” research group. This will provide valuable impetus for the future at an academic level.

This partnership also supports the promotion of international student exchanges. Future exchange programs will offer both institutions the opportunity to gain insights into the academic and cultural conditions of the partner country. Interested students are welcome to get in touch with the contact persons directly.
