Practice-oriented study

High practical relevance offers an insight into research and development: You will gain your own practical experience through lectures accompanying laboratory exercises from the very beginning, an integrated practical semester in the industry, as well as study projects. You will get to know modern equipment in our laboratories and become familiar with the requirements of professional practice at an early stage. Your practical knowledge will be greatly appreciated by future employers.

Industrial placement

An industrial placement is undertaken as part of the electrotechnical undergraduate courses during the fifth semester. For students of the electrotechnical courses this is a possibility to broaden and deepen their knowledge and skills by engineering activities. Furthermore, they will be able to experience working conditions and methods in real life. We recommend German students to do their placement abroad. Students from another country are to do their placement in Germany.

Small class sizes with individual support

Small class sizes mean close collaboration between fellow students, professors and the department: We consider the personal atmosphere as a big advantage. It is always possible to contact the professor with questions. In addition to the professors, committed employees are also available as contact persons in the laboratories. Additionally, learning groups are often found among our students.

Best acceptance in the industry

The course contents are adapted to the needs of the industry and offer best career opportunities. Your Bachelor's degree combined with your practical experience is highly valued in the industry. Our graduates establish useful links with successful companies through their internship. Following graduation they quickly find a job in the industry thanks to the professional relevance of their studies.
